Manage all activities related to importation of raw materials, packaging, machinery, and finished goods. Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, minimize import lead time, and coordinate with internal Supply Chain teams and external partners.
Import Documentation & Compliance
Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of all import documentation: Invoice, Packing List, COA, COO, BL/AWB, Insurance, HS Code classification.
Coordinate with customs brokers for import clearance and regulatory compliance.
Ensure adherence to Indonesian customs regulations, permits, and audit requirements (e.g., PI, NIB, BPOM, SNI).
Shipment Coordination & Tracking
Manage end-to-end inbound shipment activities (sea/air).
Track shipments proactively and provide updates to Planning, Procurement, and Co-Man teams.
Manage vessel booking, container arrangement, demurrage prevention, and timely clearance.
Vendor & Forwarder Management
Liaise with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines regarding shipment readiness and transport arrangements.
Negotiate freight rates, insurance terms, and shipping schedules where applicable.
Cost & Lead Time Management
Monitor import costs including freight, duty, tax, trucking, warehousing, and handling.
Optimize cost efficiency through better routing, mode selection, and Incoterms alignment.
Maintain import lead time database and drive continuous reduction.
Internal Coordination
Align with Procurement on PO readiness and supplier shipping instructions.
Coordinate with Supply Planning on ETA, buffer management, and production dependencies.
Work with Warehouse & QA for incoming inspections and documentation completeness.
Reporting & System Management
Maintain import records in SAP system.
Prepare import KPIs: clearance time, demurrage cost, duty accuracy, documentation compliance.
Support internal and external audits.
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or similar field.
3–5+ years experience in Import/Export roles, ideally in manufacturing or FMCG.
Strong understanding of Indonesian customs regulations, HS code classification, and import permits.
Experience working with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
Proficient in SAP systems and import documentation workflows.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and proficient in English
