Export Import Staff

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Export Import Staff to join our dynamic team at PT Obor Indonesia. In this fulltime role based in Jakarta, you will be responsible for overseeing the import and export operations of our diverse product portfolio, ensuring efficient and compliant logistics across global markets.

What you'll be doing

1. Coordinate and manage all import and export documentation, processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate clearance of goods

2. Liaise with customs authorities, shipping companies, and other logistics providers to resolve any issues and optimise supply chain efficiency

3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements

4. Prepare and submit all necessary customs declarations, invoices, and other trade-related paperwork

5. Provide support and guidance to internal teams on import/export policies and procedures

6. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance

7. Monitor shipment statuses and provide regular updates to stakeholders

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years' experience in an export/import role, preferably within the manufacturing, transportation or logistics industries

2. Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and supply chain management

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

4. Proficient in using relevant software and IT systems to manage documentation and track shipments

5. Meticulous attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset

6. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
