Job Summary

Responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing and import activities, ensuring timely procurement of raw materials, components, and machinery from local and overseas suppliers in compliance with Indonesian import regulations, cost efficiency, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Supplier Management

  • Execute purchasing activities for local and overseas suppliers in line with production planning.

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery terms.

  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO), contracts, and amendments accurately and on time.

  • Monitor supplier performance (price, lead time, quality, compliance).

  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Finance to ensure material availability.

Import & Logistics

  • Handle full import process: shipping documents, customs clearance, HS code verification, and import permits.

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.

  • Ensure compliance with Indonesian import regulations (PIB, COO, COO Form E, API, NIK, Lartas).

  • Monitor shipment schedules and proactively manage delays or issues.

  • Calculate landed cost (FOB/CIF, duty, VAT, logistics, handling).

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain complete import documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO).

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations (Bea Cukai, Kemendag, BPOM if applicable).

  • Support internal and external audits related to purchasing and import.

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Track purchasing and import costs versus budget.

  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing performance, import status, and cost analysis.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Purchasing & Export-Import within a manufacturing company.

  • Proven hands-on experience handling import process in Indonesia (customs clearance, PIB, HS code).

  • Experience dealing with overseas suppliers (China, ASEAN, Japan, Europe preferred).

  • Strong understanding of Incoterms, import duties, taxes, and landed cost calculation.

  • Familiar with Indonesian import regulations (Bea Cukai, Kemendag, API, NIK).

  • Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Table, cost analysis).

  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar) is a strong advantage.

  • Fluent in English (written & verbal) for supplier communication.

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in documentation.

  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
