Civil Engineer Port & Infrastructure

Job Purpose

To support the planning, design review, and supervision of civil works for port and infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with technical standards, quality, and safety requirements.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine/Ocean Engineering, or a related discipline.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in civil engineering works, with at least 1 year of experience in port, jetty, marine, or infrastructure construction projects.

3. Strong knowledge of port and marine infrastructure, including jetty, quay wall, piling, revetment, access roads, and supporting facilities.

4. Good understanding of construction codes, port regulations, and environmental standards, including relevant local and international standards.

5. Proficient in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent.

6. Familiar with structural analysis tools (SAP2000, ETABS, or similar).

7. Good communication skills; proficiency in English is an advantage.

Job Descriptions:

1. Develop, review, and evaluate civil and marine engineering designs for port and infrastructure facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

2. Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and risk evaluations for proposed port and infrastructure developments.

3. Perform regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, safety, and environmental requirements.

4. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and design-related challenges.

5. Ensure that all civil works meet structural integrity, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

6. Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of maintenance and rehabilitation programs for port and infrastructure assets.

7. Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and progress updates for management and related stakeholders.

8. Support tendering and procurement processes, including technical evaluations and clarification when required.
