Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team at yuni bersaudara sejahtera'. In this full-time position based in Pekanbaru Riau, you will play a crucial role in our Manufaktur, Transportasi & Logistik division, specifically focused on Pembelian, Pengadaan & Inventaris. Your strategic expertise and procurement acumen will be instrumental in driving our operational efficiency and supporting the overall growth of the company.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-efficient acquisition of materials, goods, and services

2. Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to secure the best possible terms and conditions

3. Monitoring and analysing procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with the company's overall business objectives

5. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to optimise procurement processes

6. Providing strategic guidance and support to the wider organisation on procurement-related matters

What we're looking for

1. Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably within the Manufaktur, Transportasi & Logistik industry

3. Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship building

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

6. Familiarity with procurement software and data analysis tools

7. A strategic mindset and the ability to align procurement activities with the company's overall business goals
