[OPERATIONS READINESS] TECHNICIAN - MECHANICAL

Some of your duties will include:

·       Responsible to maintain crusher, conveyor, grinding, flotation, thickener and reagent circuits, concentrate pumping water, fresh water and tailings, operate Mobile Equipment and workshop machines, fabricate and perform equipment overhauls.

·       To diagnose and repair a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery such as valves, motors and pumps, crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, screens and screen bearing

·       Perform routine preventative maintenance per established preventative maintenance program

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs using CMMS (e.g., SAP, Pronto).

·       Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments

·       Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repair and maintenance to machinery, including, but not limited to, batch plants, motors, conveyors, elevators and drives.

·       Inspects and reports the condition of machinery for items needing repair or service.

·       Fabricate and repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment

·       Rebuild or fabricate parts; repair electrical equipment.

·       Read and interpret technical manuals.

·       Operates fixed and mobile equipment, as necessary.

·       Performs other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

What skills and experience do you need?

·       Tertiary Degree in Mechanical

·       Minimum 5 years of experience with maintenance or construction of large processing fixed plant equipment as Technician Mechanical in mineral processing, mining, or heavy industrial plant (crushing, grinding, flotation, material handling, etc.)

·       Have knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics; Strong troubleshooting and repair skills; Perform basic Preventive Maintenance and lubrication functions, Pump rebuilds, Crusher rebuilds, Gear box trouble shooting, Conveyor alignment and maintenance, Grinding mill relines; Welding skills highly desired;

·       Willing to work in a shift system (day/night) and work roster;

·       Willing to be placed in the project areas where the company operates with local hire.
