Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer who is fluent in English (spoken and written) to manage the company’s procurement activities. This role requires strong communication skills to liaise with local and international suppliers, ensure timely purchasing, and maintain cost efficiency while meeting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, ordering, and follow-up with suppliers.
Communicate effectively in English with local and international vendors regarding pricing, delivery, and product specifications.
Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure accuracy of documentation.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment.
Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier data, and contracts.
Coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues related to delays, quality, or discrepancies.
Support audits by providing purchasing-related documentation when required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum [1] years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written (mandatory).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and purchasing systems.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling international suppliers.
Knowledge of import/export procedures.
Familiarity with ERP or procurement software.
