Corporate Legal Head (Food Production)

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading all legal functions within the company to ensure full regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and protection of business interests across the FMCG and aquaculture operations. This role provides strategic legal advisory, and supports corporate, commercial, and operational activities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate key contracts, including vendor agreements, distribution contracts, supply chain and manufacturing agreements, farming operations, export-import documentation, joint ventures, and partnerships.

• Ensure all business activities comply with trade regulations, food standards, BPOM-equivalent requirements, and consumer protection laws.

• Oversee compliance with regulations related to food manufacturing, aquaculture, agriculture, environmental standards, and labor laws.

• Manage business licensing, operational permits for plants and farms, and regulatory audits.

• Develop and implement legal and compliance policies across the company and group entities.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks within manufacturing, farming operations, supply chain, distribution, and commercial activities.

• Manage litigation, disputes, investigations, and relationships with external legal counsel and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law; licensed attorney preferred.

• Minimum 10–12 years of relevant legal experience, ideally with exposure to FMCG, agriculture, or aquaculture sectors.

• Strong understanding of commercial law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation.

• Proven leadership skills and ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Placement based in Jakarta but candidate must be willing to travel to North Sumatera area on regular basis
