Buyer (Procurement)

About the role

As a Buyer (Procurement) at PT Phoenix Resources International, you will play a vital role in the company's manufacturing and logistics operations. Based in Tarakan, North Kalimantan, this full-time position will involve sourcing and procuring a range of materials, equipment and services to support the company's production and distribution needs.

What you'll be doing

• Source and purchase packaging materials, limestone, and ink according to production needs and specifications

• Select, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery

• Ensure all materials meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications

• Coordinate with QA/QC for testing, resolve non-conformities, and maintain proper documentation

• Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with logistics for efficient delivery and storage

• Control costs through price benchmarking, budgeting, and identifying savings opportunities across categories

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in any major (Engineering preferred)

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing & procurement (preferred)

• Good command of English (preferred)

• Willing to travel for business trips and perform field work

• Open to learning and growth opportunities

• SAP system knowledge is a plus

• Understanding of raw materials and packaging

• Experience in Pulp & Paper is an advantage

• Willing to be placement in Tarakan, North Kalimantan (no roster system)
