Job Summary:
The Contract Specialist will support the Divisional QS/Contracts Administrator in managing the contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects. This role focuses on the preparation, review, administration, and tracking of contracts, variations, claims, and related documentation to ensure compliance and protect the company’s interests. The Contract Specialist is responsible for day-to-day contract administration and acts as a key support function in commercial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts, subcontracts, and agreements with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Maintain a comprehensive contract register and ensure all project stakeholders have access to up-to-date contractual information.
Support the identification, documentation, and processing of Variations, ensuring timely submission and proper pricing.
Assist in claims management, including maintaining a Claims Register, preparing supporting documentation, and coordinating with project teams.
Monitor contractual obligations, including warranties, bonds, insurances, and guarantees, and advise project teams of upcoming deadlines or requirements.
Maintain a communication log to track all contractual correspondence with clients, contractors, and third parties.
Support cost and value management activities, including preparing input for cash flow forecasts, cost reports, and commercial analyses.
Facilitate contractual and commercial reviews in collaboration with Divisional QS, legal teams, and project staff to mitigate risks.
Implement change management protocols as directed, assisting in the monitoring of project risks and commercial implications.
Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and project-specific commercial processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in contract administration or commercial management in construction or EPC projects.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including FIDIC and Indonesian law.
Experience with claims management, variation orders, and subcontract administration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and correspondence.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management or contract management software is an advantage.

Effective liaison with internal teams, legal advisors, clients, and subcontractors.
